Information about the producer: The creation of Bodegas Corral, more than a hundred years ago, was due to the drive of a true Riojan, Don Saturnino Daroca, a winegrower and winemaker, who began to plant the first vines in Sojuela, a town near Navarrete.

His daughter married Don Martín Corral, who gave the winery its name and gave it his coat of arms as a label, which today continues to highlight the family character of our winery. In the fifties, new markets were opened coinciding with the incorporation of Florencio and Gregorio Corral into the business. In 1974, they built the new winery in the Riojan town of Navarrete under the demands of production and marketing but maintaining its marked artisanal character.

The producer’s personal opinion about the product: I consider that this Gran Reserva fully represents the Rioja wine tradition, it’s a Rioja in all its essence. It’s a very good wine, well structured, full body but at the same time, easy to drink.

Don Jacobo wine is a tribute to the unique location of our winery, situated alongside the French route of the Camino de Santiago, the Pilgrim’s Way. The Don Jacobo brand is already special for this fact, and another fact that makes it possibly different is the traditional Riojan style it offers.

Enjoy together with: This wine is an ideal companion for meats, game, stews with sauce, and soft cheeses.
