Soil: The slopes of the lower vineyards are made of the ancient alluvial work of the much wider, Gaspereau River. The juvenility of the soils, which were created during the last glaciation 10,000 years ago, demonstrate itself in the health of the vines. Those alluvial and glacial deposits along with soil depth provide a moderate, yet balanced fertility for small vines with individually low yields and very high-quality fruit.

This rich tapestry of soils is, at various points, underlain with sand, red clay and deposits of gravel both from ancient glacial brooks and waterfalls, providing an in-row complexity which allows each vine to express a wide range of textures and richness.

Vinification: 100% wild primary fermentations in 80% Stainless Steel and 20% neutral oak barrels
