Nose: Great aromatic intensity of red fruits, hints of herbs and red pepper.
Mouth: Rounded mouthfeel and solid structure in the after palate provides long persistency.
Soil: The vineyard is located in the slopes of the Andes Mountains in Mendoza, Argentina, the soil is rocky and shallow, and only managed drip irrigation from the snowmelt allows vines to grow and ripe under a sunny climate.
Vinification: Grapes are harvested when they are fully ripe, with good balance of sugar and acidity and round tannins in skins and seeds. Clusters are destemmed and tanks filled with the crushed berries. Fermentation begins with a cold temperatures in order to increase fresh fruit aromas and finishes at higher temperatures to boost concentration and structure. It usually take three-weeks to separate the free run new wine from the pomace.
Aging: 50% of the wine is aged in lightly toasted 225 litres French oak for 12 months. The other 50% remains in tanks to preserve youth and fruitiness.

The producer’s personal opinion about the product: This is a fruit forward Cabernet franc wine from a high altitude vineyard at the foothill of the Argentinean Andes. It is an excellent expression of the grape variety and also the terroir where it comes.
